This was delicious among a cute presentation. My hubbie tasted it and looked at me and said "On a scale on ane-5, babe this is a ten!" I have to admit I did alter the recipe... alot, simply this was such a great base of operations. First off, I butterflied my meat for easier rolling and more tender meat. Then I marinated my meat for 6 hours in "Puerto Rican Garlic Marinade" from this site. Since it had the garlic in the marinade, I omitted it from the filling and fried the onions earlier adding them. I used the whole parcel of spinach and it came out perfect! We had my hubbie'southward best friend over for dinner and all you heard were "Mmmm's" and praises through dinner. I served it with "garlicky summer squash" from this site, and I made a parsley-herb rice. Thank you then much for sharing this recipe.

This recipe is crawly! Pounding, piercing, and a long marinating time make this the most savory, tender flank steak I've ever eaten. The filling is delicious, and the pinwheel presentation makes this a keen dish for company.

We really liked this as is, but I tin can see many other posibilities. I sliced my steak in one-half and and so shell. Did not have all night to marinate, simply several hours produced good flavour. Information technology made two rolls and they cooked in 40 minutes. Would like a sauce to serve with it. Anyone have any ideas?
01/25/2006
This is wonderful. I used fresh baby spinach leaves instead of frozen and Parmesan cheese instead of Feta. Great with mashed potatoes.
06/19/2005
Great recipe. My changes: Didn't utilise onion or salt in filling (forgot onion, but it wasn't missed). I used 5-vi cloves of garlic that I had roasted in olive oil for the spread instead of raw garlic. A little more than work, just the smell of roasted garlic throughout the business firm is a wonderful hint of the dish to come. Then to cook I grilled it over high heat on all sides (peradventure x minutes full) to sear. Then turned off one side of the gas burners, moved the steak to the "cool" side of the grill and left the other side running fairly hot with the lid closed. Checked with instant read thermometer until temp hitting 120-125 for medium rare. Let it residue 10 minutes. This served four of us, three slices each, with a few end pieces left...which didn't last! We all were distressing at that place wasn't any more. Easy, easy dish to make and information technology looks nice!

I really loved this! Most merinades plough out more like teriyaki sauce this one didn't! I didn't have feta cheese so I addes grated swiss and Parm! yummi! will make again and again!
03/07/2008
Unbelievable. Didn't know something that looks and tastes so corking could exist this unproblematic. Every bit others have noted, cooking fourth dimension may be a petty shorter than indicated. One thing I added that gave it a little something extra was sun-dried tomatoes. I also substituted gorgonzola for the feta for personnal preference.
06/18/2007
I dont know how this could become whatsoever bad reviews. This was awesome! I did not utilize flank steak though, I used breakfast steaks at my local grocery store because they were sliced really sparse. I made individual pinwheels vs. a coil and slicing it. Delicious!
11/03/2008
This is great with a couple really uncomplicated changes. I butterfly the meat and later marinating information technology encompass it with a sparse layer of cream cheese. I also use fresh spinach and add chopped mushrooms which I sauted along withe the onions and garlic and spread that atop the foam cheese. This is then delicious and looks so impressive. Perfect when company is coming.
09/27/2006
Very cook, make sure to use the thick stuffing bread crums and no the finley grated bread crumbs.
09/16/2011
This recipe was not to my liking.
01/15/2007
This recipe was AMAZING! I literally could non stop eating. The combination of flavors is unreal. Definitely a keeper!
12/28/2004
I made this for Christmas dinner and my family raved over information technology. I pounded the steaks a little thinner than instructed, probably well-nigh i/4 inch. Also I took the leftover marinade, boiled it and then thickened it into a gravy. I doubled the recipe there however were no leftovers. My husband said that it tasted like a gourmet eatery. Thank you for such a wonderful recipe!
08/xix/2009
WOW! Awesome marinade. I volition apply it for shish kabobs on the grill next fourth dimension. Meat was juicy, flavorful and great leftover. I second the recommendation to saute the onions before, unless you like them crunchy. I left out the bread crumbs considering those often make things soggy when stuffed inside meat. Glad I did! The garlic, spinach and feta don't need to be toned downward. Since I only had 3 hours to marinate, I put the meat in the baking dish and poured the leftover mix all over the meat before putting information technology in the oven. I basted twice during the l-min. cooking time and the meat came out delicious. Mix the filling (sans breadcrumbs) when making the marinade and shop information technology while the meat soaks. Cooking when y'all get home from work is then a snap - make full, scroll, bake!
03/20/2011
I fabricated three of these. The beginning one per the menu, the second with the addition of a few stips of uncooked bacon to proceed it moist, the third with the bacon and some mushrooms. All very good.
09/27/2006
Actually good! The marinade makes this recipe. I'll be using it for other purposes as well! I didn't use the total amounts of any of the stuffing ingrediants, information technology wouldn't have been able to roll information technology! Next time I would utilise fresh garlic. Only eyeball it. I as well used lemon garlic flavored feta cheese, which was good. Simply, unless your a huge feta lover...merely a thin layer will do. Cheers!
06/23/2010
I love this recipe considering people come over and they think that it was very hard work when really it is very uncomplicated! I have made this several ways, kickoff using the ingredients listed here and besides with whatever sounded good/ I had in my refrigerator. My favorite variation is with whole green chilies stuffed with cream cheese and then wrapped in the flank steak. Its great in the crockpot with a whole jar of greenish salsa on top cooked on high for iii-4 hours. Served with the cooked sauce as gravy. Any variation of this is great though!
04/16/2012
Amazing. The marinade alone is actually good. I would grill flank steak with this marinade without all the extras if I didn't have the time or energy for the whole production. My simply change and I think an important i, is the cooking time. My oven tends to be hotter and I cooked information technology just for 25 minutes and it was perfect. 1 hour would have ruined information technology. So I would suggest people check the temperature throughout.
12/ten/2005
My husband LOVED it. I am a little harder on myself. It defiantly had a beautiful presentation. My husband was so excited almost how it looked he took a pic. My stuffing came out dry out and didn't stick together. Information technology tasted very good, perhaps I got rid of too much liquid from the spinach making information technology besides dry. I volition defiantly endeavour to perfect this recipe and attempt it again
01/01/2011
Lots of flavour! It was a fleck frustrating trying to coil it up, I think my steak was but about a pound. Despite using a meat mallet to flatten, at that place wasn't as much to wrap around the yummy insides. I had to necktie it was regular twine (how many of you really have kitchen twine?) The marinade really fabricated a departure.
07/10/2010
Possibly I marinated also long? The soy and worschestershire sauce marinade was a footling overwhelming, may brand again but would readjust amts.
02/03/2012
Added sun dried tomatoes, DELICIOUS!
10/11/2009
Fantabulous recipe. I used gruyere cheese, which was the one I had on manus, and the rest of the ingredients. Steak was tender, sliced nicely and it looked corking. I served information technology with white rice and pink beans and a romaine and cucumber salad with olive oil and vino vinegar. Will definitely attempt again.

I fabricated this concluding nighttime, and it was a striking with my married man. Great flavors. He wants more of the stuffing. Thank you.
09/16/2010
We Honey this recipe! Thanks and so much for posting.
05/22/2011
This was an awsome recipe! I added roasted red peppers and forgot the breadcrumbs. I will make this meal again!
08/20/2007
This was a bully foundation for this cut of meat. I made a few changes, some based on previous reviews, and others to accommodate my ain tastes. Kickoff I made fairly deep diagonal cuts on both sides of the meat, to shorten the fibers and marinaded information technology using a dry marinade mix, extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, and worcestershire sauce, and water. I allow that soak for 24 hours. So I smeared a generous portion of dijon mustard across the inside surface, followed by green onions, nearly a whole box of frozen spinach, four slivered garlic cloves, and thinly sliced feta cheese vs. crumbles. I secured information technology length-wise with one long shishkabob skewer. I also seared the outside in hot skillet prior to blistering it. I baked until the inside reached 140 deg. and permit it sit for ten minutes. After slicing I served it with au jus and sauteed portobello mushroom caps. It was a piece of heaven I tell you!
12/17/2008
This was yummy. Information technology had a lot of flavor, however, my meat turned out very dry, prehaps you should cover the flanks with foil during baking.
08/16/2011
Admittedly incredible! Very tender and flavorful. A fleck of piece of work when you are a working mom of three kids, simply it was well worth it. My three-year old says this is his new favorite meal!
06/16/2013
Cooking beef, other than ground, has ever been a challenge for me even though I'm a pretty good cook. This recipe was peachy! Flavorful marinade and succulent final product.
09/08/2009
Yummie. We did this for a pool party, so I wrapped my completed rolls in heavy foil and nosotros did it on the grill. Nosotros grilled it in the foil packets for most of the fourth dimension, then unwrapped them towards the stop and put them directly on the grill for the residual of the cooking. I tin can't really requite times because we did four of these at 2 pound steaks each, but we did them on medium heat and I call up they took about an hour or so all together. The guests raved nearly them...as did my dad...and he's extremely picky about meat and flavorings. My onions didn't get crunchy, simply I did them in my electric chopper, then they were very fine. I used the bread crumbs and I think it gave them a little bulk so things weren't too mushy during slicing and the layers held their shape beautifully. Like shooting fish in a barrel to do and succulent!
02/23/2008
This was an easy to prepare dish that looks similar you lot worked all twenty-four hours on. I was merely able to marinade for 4 hours and that was fine. My cooking time was much less (35 min.) than the recipe. Cheque yours when you think in might be half style washed. I will exist making it again soon.
12/04/2011
Rave review for this 1. Everyone loved it. Something came up and my steak marinated for 2-three days, WOW was it good. I did add some swiss chard to the filling because I had it on mitt.
07/fifteen/2009
I let the meat marinate overnight and used twice the spinach. It was great! It's important to scroll it up in the right management.
09/fifteen/2005
I had to use very thinly sliced top loin because they didn't have flank steak at the grocery shop. I likewise used swiss cheese in place of the feta. The consequence was outstanding! My husband wants to make the steak once again tonight, marinated and stir-fried with veggies. SO So SO Adept! And so And then SO Piece of cake! Thanks for the recipe!
05/09/2010
we liked this but it wasn't the astonishing mouthful of flavor i was expecting. I marinated for about 24 hours just i couldn't actually taste that try in the meat
08/03/2008
I really similar this recipe. My husband calls it "Fru-Fru" so I'm giving it 4 stars intstead of five. However the second time I tried it I got a large flank steak and cut it vertically into two slabs. I then tenderized both and made one of the slabs into pinwheels as per the recipe. For the 2nd one I took the marinade, soaked some sliced fresh mushrooms in it for a few hours, and and so chopped them up a flake in my mini-food processor. I then used that as the filling for the 2d half of the flank steak and rolled it into a pinwheel. My husband LOVED it that fashion. I grilled both on the gas grill with a grilling pan then the cheese and mushroom pieces wouldn't fall into my gas grill. Both versions were really yummy!
12/xix/2007
This was awesome. I used fresh spinach instead of frozen and ruby wine vinegar since I didn't accept whatever cherry wine on hand. The only trouble was that the steak was still too thick even after pounding then the pinwheel had a hard time staying together. Adjacent time I might slice the steak lengthwise and make 2 rolls. My hubby said it was gourmet!
09/12/2007
wow, this was so delicious, and and then very like shooting fish in a barrel to make. merely what is so nifty is that it looks like it is a lot harder to brand than information technology is...and it is perfect for a special meal, for company. I will brand again. This is ane my married man's new favorites!
10/26/2008
Very very expert. Side by side fourth dimension I will marinate the meat for 48 hours. It's a great way to melt a cheaper cut of meat. I used gorgonzola, forgot the breadcrumbs. I didn't sautee the onions as others suggested, don't think it matters. Fiance kept saying 'this is sooo practiced!' I will make this once again.
04/10/2013
OH MY!!! I made these for dinner this evening and it turned out fabulously! I followed the directions to a tee, and I am just floored by the season. Next fourth dimension, tho, I won't add together the table salt to the crushed clove of garlic considering there is definitely enough salt from the soy and worcestershire sauce.
04/15/2007
Very adept. I marinated overnight and meat was very tender and adept. I didn't have to pound the meat at all. Flank steak is pretty thin to begin with. I would suggest using fresh spinach though. The frozen spinach always has an off gustatory modality. Side by side time I'g going to add together some bacon $.25 and sauted mushrooms.
11/14/2007
Actually skilful. I sauteed the onions and garlic kickoff in a fiddling olive oil. Toothpicks didn't piece of work and so well. Adjacent time I will employ my small metal kabob skewers or kitchen twine. I too will melt a little less since we prefer med, this was more on the med/well side. Thanks for the recipe, I will definately make again.
09/06/2008
I've ever wanted to endeavour this and it was a success. Maybe it was the feta I used, merely it did come out a fleck too salty. Also, the flank needs to be VERY Sparse in club for information technology to roll upward finer. Very hearty, and the leftovers were awesome.
06/27/2008
WOW!!! This was great. I have seen steak pinwheels on TV before, but had never tried information technology until now. The feta cheese really makes the dish too! I did modify the recipe a fiddling; I put just a small amount of sesame oil into the marinade. Also, the first time I fabricated this I didn't take any bread crumbs so I used crushed up Caesar salad flavored croutons, and it gave it a actually great flavour. My husband fifty-fifty said this was one of the best dishes I've ever fabricated him! Information technology was and then good I'm making it again this evening :)
01/20/2010
This was fantabulous! I marinated the steak in the morning and cooked it for dinner- YUM! The meat was very tender and flavorful. I had never cooked with Feta cheese before and had quite the dilema at the cafeteria counter choosing- ended upward with Greek Feta considering they said it was very mild. Thank you for this wonderful recipe!
07/27/2011
My married man and I love this meal. We sometimes substitute whole mushrooms and shallots instead of spinach. Neat with a side of mashed potatoes!
03/24/2011
OMG! This was Delicious!!!! I didn't really change the recipe simply did have to substitute some things. In the marinade, I didn't have any lemon juice but figured it was just an acid to deed equally a tenderizer, and then used apple cider vinegar instead. I did use 2 cloves of garlic when I made the paste (nosotros love garlic) and opted for fresh spinach instead of frozen. Had no feta, so used parmesan/ romano/ asiago blend. I HIGHLY recommend cooking this in a cast atomic number 26 skillet. It seared the bottom of the steak and made it that much better. Fantastic! I served this with steamed broccoli and homemade mac-n-cheese.
03/20/2014
This is a fantastic, company worthy recipe prepared as stated. 2d time I made it, I did utilize reduced sodium soy sauce and omitted the table salt when mashing the garlic. But my preference to reducing the table salt which was a little too much for my gustatory modality. I discover that people will always attain for extra salt and pepper if they desire That little extra. Reducing the salt gives everyone a choice. Past the fashion, these pinwheels freeze exceptionally well and are bachelor to pull out for a quick dinner or for an impressive meal for unexpected guests. Thanks for sharing it with u.s.!
02/fifteen/2007
I'1000 not sure what went wrong with this recipe. The fourth dimension that it said to cook...and the degrees...seemed a little rare for my tastes....but by the time it was cooked it seemed really tough and I couldn't seem to continue the "pinwheels" from coming undone and falling apart. I wondered if maybe I pounded the meat besides much in the get-go?....anyway...it was such a disaster I probably will non attempt this one once more.
09/21/2010
Excellent marinade! In that location are no leftovers when I make this for dinner.
08/30/2007
I call up I chose a bad piece of meat, because it was tough. That'south non the recipe'south error, it'due south mine. I absolutely LOVED the marinade. I employ information technology for many other pieces of meat now. I besides loved the filling of the steak. Next time I might speak to a butcher or something... I've never been skillful with steak.
02/27/2005
Nosotros love this recipe! It is such a great mix of flavors, and like shooting fish in a barrel too! The marinate is delicious! I make information technology all the time!
10/17/2010
This is one of all-time recipes that I've institute on this site. I used creamed caprine animal cheese instead of feta because that is what I had and information technology was wonderful.
01/15/2014
Didn't go over well. Exist careful with garlic...I used also much. I think provolone or parmesan would exist ameliorate ...feta turned out too salty. Fresh babe spinach was very good though. Marinade good too
08/06/2012
I don't eat red meat, just don't care for it BUT this sounded then good I decided to try a seize with teeth, DELICIOUS!! Married man has had to get in over and over because information technology's the kids' fav!
01/24/2007
The marinade for this is very good! I would have given it 5 stars, however, I didn't care for the stale breadcrumbs. They got soggy and didn't blend, in gustatory modality, likewise well with the feta and spinach. I will make once again, however omit the breadcrumbs.
04/xi/2009
With other ratings, I thought this would turn out amend. Could be that I didn't pound the meat plenty considering information technology was tough.
03/xv/2005
WOW! I don't rate recipes from hither, but even my husband said I needed to rate this one a 5! I put Cream cheese instead of Feta and it was smashing! My husband said this was the best meat I've ever made and I need to brand it for his mother when she comes to visit. thanks for such a cracking recipe!
x/nineteen/2008
Phenomenal recipe. And so easy. DELICIOUS! And cute for guests. I've made this several times, and anybody loves information technology.
04/11/2007
this one is a repeat for sure. I but had time to marinate for 8 hrs. The meat was very tender (for flank steak) and we could cutting it with a fork. I doubled the garlic and used a whole x ounce package of spinach (thawed and well tuckered).
12/08/2004
This was a not bad dinner, and a wonderful marinade that I've used for other meats also. I used herbed cream cheese instead of feta and the kids ate every bite, not noticing the spinach rolled in!! Practiced way to get kids to eat spinach!
05/02/2012
Okay, I inverse a few things but my married man literally keeps going afterward the leftovers and maxim, "I Accept THE Best WIFE EVER!" I used venison instead of beef which was great! Iadded five cloves of garlic, no Worcestershire and stale mustard instead of wet to the marinade. For the stuffing, I used fresh spinach, scallions and blue cheese instead of feta. It was OUTSTANDING!
10/21/2005
Subsequently reading the reviews on this dish, I couldn't look to try it. I was a little disappointed with it. I followed the directions perfectly and had purchased thinly sliced flank steak to use for the recipe. The steak was tender at first simply as the meal connected, it became slightly tougher. The flavors were very strong which I unremarkably like but it was a fleck overwhelming and by the middle of the meal we felt we had plenty. If I were to make the recipe again, I would cull a different cut of meat...mayhap new york strip thinly sliced.
01/10/2012
My husband and I really liked it. I cooked it for 45 minutes and it came out perfect. I really loved the flavor and ingredients, just I can't give information technology 5 stars considering the meat was a trivial tough. Overall, I would definitely make it once more.
04/29/2008
it was skillful. I made it twice. the start fourth dimension I didn't use enough garlic the second time to much. Over all information technology was a skillful resipe but not for all the time it takes
10/xvi/2008
This was very good, although adjacent time I will saute the onions earlier putting them on the steak as I didn't really like the crunch they gave. The marinade is swell!
08/27/2007
My picky family loved this. I pounded the daylights out of the meat first with a marble rolling pin, and so marinated it for 48 hours. I besides used tomato basil feta instead of plainly. One thing I would do different next time, is to cutting off the membrane covering the meat.
eleven/21/2014
Awesome! The marinate gives the steak great flavor! I didn't marinate it over night just well-nigh six hours. I also inverse the cook time 22 minutes on bake, then nearly ten minutes under the broiler to get a squeamish caramelization on tiptop. came out a perfect med-rare!
01/12/2014
I confess that I accept never made, or purchased flank steak until I saw this recipe, so I was curious, bought some flank steak at Costco and marinated the steak exactly as the recipe called for, but only for nigh 6 hours. The only thing different I did was to place most eight cloves of garlic and 2 tblsp of olive oil in a measuring cup and microwaved it for i min. and and so mashed real good before spreading it on the flank steak. I sprinkled a little flake of Goya Adobo (my all fourth dimension favorite seasoning) over the spinach and then added Kirkland (from Costco) Oven-dried Orgnanic Roma Tomatoes over the spinach and sprinkled generously the feta cheese over that, rolled it up, secured it with tooth picks and baked it for well-nigh 50 min. OMG! my husband, who God Bless him eats annihilation I put in front of him, had that look in his optics, like many years ago, when it wasn't the food he adored, said "this is awesome!, OMG this is so proficient! what else I can I tell you folks, it was a corking night!
08/12/2008
This was alright. I didn't accept garlic cloves, so I sprinkled garlic powder on the steak earlier putting on onions, bread crumbs etc. It was just too strong on the flavors (too much garlic), and my husband took ii bites and that was it for him.
02/24/2006
Awesome. My 'must consume healthy' human loved information technology. It was easy to prepare and had neat flavors. The marinade was tasty and the steak moist.
11/09/2004
This recipe was fabulous. I was agape the feta would be overpowering, but the flavors composite perfectly.
03/23/2005
This was way over-rated. We were very unhappy with the results. The taste was simply so and then.
03/27/2009
This recipe was a hit with my guests. I cut the cooking time back past 15 mins. as my rolls were not that call back and it turned out perfect. Information technology was fifty-fifty tastier the as leftovers the next nighttime.
04/19/2010
THIS IS AMAZING!!! My boyfriend said it was the most delicious meal he'due south ever had. At that place'southward then much flavour in every seize with teeth, and the steak is then juicy and delicious. It tastes like a fancy, restaurant quality meal only it is surprisingly easy to brand. Endeavor it. Rolling information technology tin can be catchy, then be sure to pound out the steak actually sparse and try not to overstuff it. Also, kitchen twine and a meat thermometer are a must... I baked it at 425F for about fifty minutes and information technology came out perfectly medium well!
05/22/2007
This recipe was okay. I establish this cutting of meat to be very tough fifty-fifty after marinating for 24 hours. I added fresh mushrooms and garlic to the filling. My family rated this ane well-nigh 3 stars. If I make again I will attempt it with a better cut of meat and bluish cheese instead of the feta for more season.
05/07/2016
Like a few folks, I modified this. I butterflied the flank, pounded it a little thinner. Roasted cloves of garlic and mixed that with olive oil and salt to make a paste. Spread that along the steak and added spinach leaves and fresh mozzarella slices. Rolled it up, tied some twine effectually the disks to go on their shape and grilled it for v mins on each side. so as not to lose the cheese, I placed foil downwardly first. Nosotros let it rest for about v minutes. Probably should have waited 10 but nosotros were so hungry!! Information technology was nummy!
12/24/2006
I made this dish for my parents and my boyfriend and they were very impressed by the presentation and taste. I only made a few changes to the recipe. Start, I marinated the steak in a store bought Italian Steak marinade since I was running low on time and couldn't buy some of the ingredients for this marinade. I as well added mushrooms to the filling and sauteed them with the onions before rolling them into the steak. Great recipe though, with about things in my pantry. Served it with roasted red potatoes and greenbeans for a nifty complete repast. Definitely will make this over again.
01/08/2010
Excellent. A lot of flavor. I poured a little extra marinade over before cooking. Used fresh spinach and Italian breadstuff crumbs.
01/16/2014
My married man loved this! I did cook it fifteen minutes less as he likes medium rare. We will have this again shortly.
10/31/2009
This was a big hit. I didn't use bread crumbs (completely forgot them) but it was still amazing. I volition be making this over and over again. I did Not add salt, and I don't think information technology needed any. It was perfect the way information technology was. Cheers!
05/04/2009
I gave this a 5 even though I didn't utilize the whole recipe. I just used the marinade merely......Information technology was Awesome and then tender with but a seven-8 60 minutes marinade. I grilled information technology, and so sliced it and made quesadillas with Mexican Blend cheese....Oh so YUMMY.
11/04/2008
this is FANTASTIC! my children, who don't normally like eating meat, can't go plenty and its wonderful for company. i have even made several at a fourth dimension (marinade is enough for 2-3x the steaks) and frozen them to cook later, just defrost and melt ordinarily. i do put in less breadstuff crumbs, more garlic, and more spinach.
01/ten/2014
Made this recipe tonight for my girl friend nosotros Loved it. only made one small change traded out the lemon juice for apple cider vinegar for the acid but because I had no lemons. this recipe is highly recommended
12/xv/2007
I loved this!!! Thanks then much for the recipe! My beau was very impressed!
03/21/2008
This was really piece of cake to ready, and made a fancy presentation for a special dinner. I made it on short notice, then the steak merely marinated for near four hours. It was nonetheless good, although the flavors tasted a bit sharp. We had leftovers the next twenty-four hours and it was even ameliorate.
12/26/2007
I dearest this recipe! I fool everyone into thinking I know how to cook!
02/10/2011
I followed exactly as written and it was amazing..definately restaurant quality! Make sure you lot pound it sparse enough..I didnt so It could have been better but that was my error. This steak..was just bursting with flavor!! Also, dont skip the breadstuff crumb it really added nice flavor and texture
03/12/2014
Had flank steak "tenderized" by butcher, followed recipe to the T, probably the best meat I have e'er made!
03/03/2014
Nosotros institute this to be very sour and bitter. Maybe better on the grill merely lacking by oven roasting.
01/31/2018
I halved the marinade ingredients because the flank steak weighed a little less than a pound. I marinated information technology overnight, which seemed too long as the meat seemed to "cook ." I dont have a meat mallet, then I butterflied the steak by laying information technology sideways and carefully slicing in one-half. I should take followed my instincts and used a hammer + waxed paper, because it was all the same besides thick to be hands rolled. Then ... don't skip this step. Adding salt to the garlic to make a paste was unnecessary, it's already got salt from the soy sauce The breadcrumbs didn't add anything; I'd skip them side by side fourth dimension. I used fresh spinach leaves, which made it harder to scroll. Frozen or lightly sauteed would exist amend. It did not slice upwards into beautiful pinwheels, that was my fault! All my b****ing bated, this tasted pretty good! Give It a whirl.
03/09/2008
Then easy to make! I rarely try a new recipe at a dinner party, but this seemed to have a cute presentation as well as skilful flavors. I purchased thinly sliced steaks so I didn't have to practise whatever pounding, used fresh spinach, spread the steaks with roasted garlic and added pine nuts. Turned out wonderfully! Will definitly make again. I liked the addition of sun dried tomatoes that another reviewer mentioned. Information technology would add beautiful color and some acidity.
08/10/2014

The breadcrumb, spinach & cheese filling was divine! The marinated meat still wasn't so skilful. It was also salty and a fleck tough. Will use the filling once more but non the marinade.

Fantastic...need I say more than. I did, however, only utilize the marinade portion of this recipe as I was short on ingredients and time. So delicious though. Definitely will brand over again and next fourth dimension as the whole recipe.

This was a little bit of a claiming for me, just when I make it again, I'thou sure I'll do fine. The marinade was not bad! I just had a hard time rolling all of that filling. I also don't think it has to be cooked so long - check it often. My presentation was off, only it was delicious and I will definately go far again!

Delicious! The only thing I volition change the next time I make this is to reduce the amount of stuffing. It was a bit hard to gyre. Other than that, perfect!

Very tasty! The entire family unit enjoyed this dish. I made the marinade as directed. We didn't have any feta cheese on manus so I substituted ricotta cheese mixed with various spices nosotros had in the cupboard (fried garlic, fried scarlet onion, pepper, fresh thyme, dash of cayenne pepper) I will make this over again. The steak didn't flatten out very much then this was nigh more than of a stuffed flank steak than a roll-up. That didn't affect the flavor. This recipe is a dandy base so that you tin use the ingredients you have in the house if you don't have exactly what is chosen for!
